We had three weeks before the boys were back for the longer holiday break. Here’s our December activities:
Disc golf tournament
The first weekend in December, we watched Kid 2 play in a disc tournament in Wichita.
Christmas decorating
I finished decorating for Christmas. I didn’t put as much out this year, and I didn’t take any decent pictures of the house decorated like I usually do. Here’s a few pics:
As always, outside lights make me happy and I love seeing a decorated Christmas tree through a window.
College projects
In Kid 2’s graphic design class, one of the projects was to create a trifold brochure about the ESU graphic arts department. Here’s his finished version (use the slider to view the front and back):
Another project was to design a keychain for the visual arts department. His class voted on the best design to engrave on the keychain – his was chosen:
Holiday fun
River City Brewery has elevated their holiday cheer, and I got to see the Adam Sandler comedy show! Adam Sandler’s show always has mystery guests and this time he brought David Spade, Kevin James, and Rob Schneider.

The sunset made the tree in our backyard look orange!
