We headed to Manhattan to watch Kid 2 play in a disc golf tournament. The tournament was at Fairmount Park.
February in Kansas can be super tricky – it could be icy and below zero or sunny and 50 degrees. Thankfully, the weather cooperated this weekend. It started out chilly… hats and gloves needed. But by afternoon, it had warmed up nicely with a clear blue sky.
Ali came with us and we stayed in a little one bedroom airbnb apartment within walking distance to Aggieville. It was nice enough to walk to grab a bite to eat. Many of the bars that I remember have since changed or are no longer there. We did pass by Aggie Lounge (The Lou) and it looked the same as in the early 90s. It’s the longest running bar in Manhattan, it first opened it’s doors in 1952!
Ali is waiting patiently while we get mexican food to go!
