Kid #2 made the inaugural Emporia State University Disc Golf team!
He doesn’t like the picture below, but it’s the one the school used in the announcement on Instagram.
In July, ESU announced the formation of the first-ever competitive disc golf team at the school. It is coached by Eric McCabe, a world champion professional disc golfer who resides in Emporia.
For those those who don’t know, Emporia was named the #1 disc golf small town in U.S., has the most disc golf baskets in the ground per capita in the world, and is known as “disc golf Disneyland.”
We drove up for the day recently and he and Scott played 9 holes at Hammond Park and 18 holes at Jones Park.

It was cool enough that we were able to take Ali with us.
We visited the Dynamic Discs retail store (they allow dogs!) and I the boys bought a couple of discs.
