I stood in line for 45 minutes at Starbucks this morning. Lots of people like their coffee, that’s for sure. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby of our tower, but it’s temporarily closed. COVID maybe? Or not enough workers?
The boys went to the army museum this morning, and I spent some time at the beach.

We ate lunch in the room, then went back out to the beach. Tonight: Sunset cruise!

This is the sunset back on the beach.

And of course, we had to do a selfie.

Manoa Falls
I got to the Starbucks line earlier today #priorities … it wasn’t quite as long this time.
We took an Uber to Manoa Falls, a legit rainforest about 20 minutes from our hotel. Parts of the TV show Lost and the Jurassic Park movies were filmed here.
The roundtrip hike is 1.6 miles. it was pretty shady most of the time. The path was a little slippery and rocky, but nothing too crazy.
At the end of the hike is a waterfall. During the summer it’s more like a trickle, but in the winter months it’s a lot more “waterfall-ish.”
It smelled like vanilla or something really good. At one point Adam made a comment about how it smelled and we said “we think that is bug spray.” But then we read that there were lots of eucalyptus trees.
We started up another small trail, but it got too muddy a few minutes in.
See? Chickens again…
Lunch was at Tropics restaurant, a little place right one the beach. Back to the room to watch more disc golf before heading back out to the beach.
