The last time we were here was May 2, 2020 during the height of the pandemic (sadly we are still battling this health emergency). We first visited in April 2020 – we came to walk some trails and didn’t realize there was a disc golf course.
The hustle and bustle of the holidays has started…. the traffic, swarms of people “retailing,” and the holiday movie marathons. But out here – all you can hear is the wind.
We saw two other people (and no dogs), which means Ali was able to roam free, without the confines of her leash. It doesn’t happen very often, as she gets very distracted and is not friendly to other animals.
It’s probably my imagination, but any time Ali is “in nature” and “free” she seems to have a smile on her face. She sniffs everything and anything.
It was one of those beautiful winter days. The sky a deep blue and minimal wind. Highs in the 50-60s. We don’t seem to get much snow anymore, some say it’s the result of global warming. As a kid, it seems like it snowed regularly in the winter. Now, some winters we don’t get any snow and the temperature barely drops below zero.
