This is our fifth “social distancing forced family fun” since the coronavirus outbreak in March. We couldn’t agree on an “out of town” park, so Oak Park it is.
We visit this park at least twice a year, so we are familiar with our favorite trails and the frisbee golf course. We usually visit Oak Park in the fall, when the leaves are changing, but everything was green this time. And the paths were narrow with the overgrown foliage.
It was in the 80s today, super sunny and windy. Seemed like a “normal” spring day in Kansas. It’s supposed to be in the 40s on Monday, so we’re taking advantage of the nice weather.
We always take a picture at this spot.
Like the last four times, we headed to Braum’s for our ice cream shakes. Unlike the last four times, there was an ice cream fiasco. As we drove into our neighborhood, Adam’s medium root beer freeze tipped, and about 1/3 of it spilled in the car 😕…in the gear shift and on the carpeted floor.
Then he spilled it again inside the house… 🤣 Better luck with the ice cream next time!
