Frost in Wichita

We woke up January 13 inside a black and white Ansel Adams photo. Wichita was covered with hoarfrost: (an unfortunate name) fernlike ice crystals directly deposited on snow, ice or already frozen surfaces (from Wikipedia).

  1. Thanks for posting these. I wanted to go to Oak Park, but after I was done at Botanica I couldn’t even feel my fingertips and I felt quite done.

    1. Yeah, I didn’t think it was as cold as it really was…until I had been out there for a while. Didn’t help that I stepped through ice into slushy mud!
